What teams use LookValid for
Four jobs that bring teams to LookValid: stopping bad signups, cleaning lists, checking numbers before a send and verifying a new account. Each page shows the checks and a real response.
- Fraud prevention
A lookup cannot prove a person is honest, but it can show where a request came from, whether the network is a hosting range or Tor exit, and whether the phone number and email domain fit what the person told you. Those signals let a fraud team route the odd ones to review instead of approving everything. - Lead list cleaning
Run each row through a numbering-plan check for the phone and a domain check for the email, then sort the list by what came back: formats fixed, impossible numbers removed, throwaway and role addresses flagged. Reps then spend their time on rows that are worth a call or an email. - SMS deliverability
Before a send, check that each number is possible in its country, see what number type the plan assigns, and look at complaint history on the number. That removes malformed entries, toll-free and premium-rate numbers and numbers people already report, so fewer messages go to places they cannot land. - Onboarding verification
Check the email domain, the phone number and the connection at the moment of signup, then let clean signups straight through and send only mismatches to a second step. Clean signups go straight through, and only mismatches reach the extra step.
