01What is a credit?
A credit is the single unit every lookup is priced in. You keep one balance and spend it on any product, so there is no separate meter per lookup type. The table above lists what each product costs in credits.
02How does the trial work?
Starter, Growth and Professional each start with a 7-day trial for $1, paid by card, with 100 credits to try any lookup. That is 100 Email Domain Checks at 1 credit each. One trial is given per card. If you use all 100 credits before the trial ends, lookups pause and nothing more is charged until you choose "Start my plan now" on the billing page. When the 7 days end, the plan starts and the card is charged for the first month, unless you cancel before then. Enterprise is set up on a call and has no trial.
03Can I get a refund?
Yes, a first paid month can be refunded when you ask within 7 days of the payment. Refunds are handled by a person: write to hello@lookvalid.com and a person reviews your request. The $1 trial fee is not part of the first paid month.
04Am I charged when a lookup finds nothing?
It depends on the product. Most lookups charge only when they return a result; the Charged column above says which ones charge on every completed lookup.
05Do repeat lookups cost credits again?
Not while the saved result lasts: 7 days for most products, less for a few. If the same account repeats a lookup with the same input in that time, the saved result is returned and no credits are charged. The response says it came from cache and when the saved result expires.
06What happens when I run out of credits?
The request is rejected with a 402
insufficient_credits error and nothing is charged. Lookups work again as soon as the next monthly grant arrives or you add a top-up. See the error reference.07Do unused credits roll over?
Yes. Each month of plan credits stays spendable for 3 months after it arrives, and the oldest credits are spent first.
08Can I buy more credits?
Yes, with a plan. A top-up adds 10,000 credits at your plan's own rate and stays valid for 12 months: Starter $49.50, Growth $35.18, Professional $31.96, Enterprise $19.99. Credits are not sold without a plan.
09Is anything free?
The free tools run real lookups with no account. Credits and the API come with a plan.
10Do the plans have different rate limits?
No. Limits apply per API key and are the same on every plan: 200 requests per 10 seconds. A plan changes how many credits you get and what each costs, not how fast you can call.
11Does the MCP server cost extra?
There is no separate fee. Each tool call from an agent costs the same credits as the matching REST lookup. Setup is in the MCP guide.
12How does Enterprise work, and what about more than 1,000,000 credits a month?
Enterprise starts at $1,999 a month for 1,000,000 credits and is set up on a call. Larger volumes are quoted on the call. Book a call and tell us your expected volume.
