How can real estate teams check inquirer and listing contact details?

Check the email domain, phone number and network origin of each inquiry, see the carrier originally assigned to a US number block, and read the age and registrar of a listing site's domain. Brokers and property managers get facts to weigh before they reply or send money anywhere.

The problem

Inquiries on a listing arrive through forms and portals, and a share of them carry made up details. Following up takes agent time, so each unusable inquiry costs a showing slot or a callback.

The other direction matters too. Renters and buyers meet listing pages and payment instructions from unfamiliar sites, and a site registered a few days ago deserves more care than one that has been online for years.

Teams that handle many properties need the same check run the same way each time. A fact sheet per inquiry, with the domain, the number and the network in one response, keeps the follow up consistent.

The FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center received 9,359 real estate complaints in 2024, with reported losses of $173,586,820. 2024. FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center, 2024 Internet Crime Report, read 2026-10-18.

CheckWhat it gives youCredits
Read the domain behind each inquiryReports disposable domains, free providers, role mailboxes and the MX, SPF and DMARC setup. It does not contact the mail server and cannot confirm that a mailbox exists.1 credit per address checked
See who first held the number blockReturns the carrier originally assigned the US number block, with its rate center and state from the public NANPA reports. Ported numbers still show the original carrier, and Canada and the Caribbean are not covered.1 credit per lookup (numbers outside the covered numbering plan areas are free)
Check how long a listing site has existedReturns the registration, update and expiry dates, the registrar and the age in days from the registry's public RDAP service. A young domain is one signal to weigh, not a verdict.2 credits per registered domain (unregistered domains are free)
Compare the network with the stated locationReturns approximate location, network owner and hosting or Tor flags for the address behind an inquiry, from open data.1 credit per lookup

Questions

Does the domain age check tell me a listing is real?

No. It reports registry dates and the registrar for the domain. An old domain can host anything and a new one can be honest, so use the age alongside other facts.

Can I find who currently owns a phone number?

No. The carrier lookup returns the carrier first assigned the number block, and it marks porting as unknown.

Which country do the carrier results cover?

United States numbers only. Canada and the Caribbean are not covered.
