How do lead generation teams check contact details before they sell or route a lead?
Check the email domain, the phone number and the origin IP of each submission on one API, and add the contacts a company publishes on its own site. Each lead reaches your buyer with facts attached about the domain, the number format and the network it came from.
The problem
Lead buyers judge a supplier on the share of leads they can actually work. A form fed with fake names, free throwaway domains and numbers that cannot exist in their country sends the cost straight back as returns and credits.
Publishers also pay for traffic that never converts. Submissions that come from hosting ranges or anonymising networks look like people in the report and like nobody in the follow up.
The fix is a cheap check at the moment of submission, before the lead is sold, routed or called. Each fact comes back in the same JSON shape, so the rule that accepts, holds or drops a lead stays short and readable.
The FTC received more than 1 million reports about imposter scams in 2025, with consumers reporting more than $3.5 billion in losses. 2025. FTC testimony before the Joint Economic Committee on efforts to combat fraud, read 2026-10-18.
What LookValid does for this
| Check | What it gives you | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Screen the address at the form | Flags disposable domains, free providers and role mailboxes such as info or sales, and reports MX, SPF and DMARC for the domain. It is a domain level check: it never contacts the mail server and cannot confirm a mailbox exists. | 1 credit per address checked |
| Catch numbers that cannot exist | Returns whether the number is valid under its country plan, its formats and the number type the plan assigns. It cannot tell whether the line is active, so use it to filter impossible entries, not to confirm reachability. | 1 credit per valid number |
| Spot traffic from hosting and anonymising networks | Returns country, region, network owner and flags for hosting providers and Tor exit nodes, so you can compare the submission origin with the location the lead claims. | 1 credit per lookup |
| Add the contacts a company publishes | Reads a domain's public pages and returns the email addresses, phone numbers and social profile links they publish, with the list of pages it read. Use it to fill a company record from the source itself. | 10 credits per domain with contacts found |
A real request and response
One call per submission returns the domain facts and a deliverability signal with its reasons. This is a real captured request and response.

Questions
Can I check a whole lead list with this?
Yes. Each lead is one API call per product, so a script can loop over a file or run on every form submission. Credits are charged only for calls that succeed.
Does a good email result mean the lead is a real person?
No. The result describes the domain and the address pattern. It cannot confirm that a mailbox exists or who owns it.
What does the contacts scraper return when a site publishes nothing?
It returns empty lists together with the pages it scanned, so your record shows that the site was read and held no published contacts.
