# What is Firmographics?

Firmographics are facts that describe a company, such as its industry, size, location and website, in the way demographics describe a person.

Sales and risk teams use them to decide whether a company fits a target profile or deserves a closer look.

The fields are only as good as their source and age. Employee counts and revenue bands in particular are estimates.
